Ville-Marie packs in almost every kind of Montreal building. Downtown towers stand alongside Old Montreal's stone buildings converted into lofts, the apartment blocks of the Latin Quarter and, farther east, the workers' houses and plexes of Centre-Sud. Windows range from modern curtain walls to small casements in old faubourg flats. That variety means no two jobs here look alike, and measuring carefully on site matters even more than usual.

Higher up, condo thermos units get direct sun and stronger winds, so seals fail faster on the most exposed sides. In Old Montreal lofts, large windows in older sizes call for units made to the millimetre. Depending on the job, we offer tempered glass, Low-E and argon; in Centre-Sud, a well-chosen standard double-glazed unit is often enough. Every unit is still fitted into the frame you already have.

Downtown, parking is the main challenge: if your building has a loading dock or garage, book it for our visit, along with the service elevator. In Old Montreal, narrow cobblestone streets take a bit of planning. In Centre-Sud and the Village, access is often by the outdoor staircase or the back lane, so please keep the way clear.
