Fog between the panes is a sign that your thermos seal has failed. In Mirabel, new residential developments such as Domaine-Vert sit alongside older homes, and their sealed units eventually give out.
Good news: there's no need to replace the whole window. We replace only the faulty sealed unit in the existing frame, with custom-made glass.
Custom glass for non-standard sizes, free assessment, transparent pricing from $150.
Local context
Mirabel: sealed units for rural homes and new neighbourhoods
Mirabel covers a huge territory made up of former municipalities that are now sectors: Saint-Janvier, Saint-Canut, Sainte-Scholastique, Saint-Augustin, Saint-Benoît and others. You'll find farmhouses and hobby farms along the rural roads, older village cores and, along highways 15 and 50, newer neighbourhoods of detached houses, semis and condos, such as Domaine-Vert in the south of the territory, where many homes still have their original windows.
On open land with no trees or buildings to break the wind, windows take the full force of wind and sun, especially those facing the fields. Temperature swings wear out the seals and fog settles in between the panes. We replace the unit with double or triple glazing filled with argon; a Low-E coating limits solar heat on large glass areas. Patio doors and large windows get tempered glass.
Distances between sectors are long, so group every foggy window, including basement and garage windows, into a single visit. Travel is still free, whatever the sector. For a house on a rural road, give us the exact civic address and a landmark visible from the road. Appointments run Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

FAQ
Questions about Mirabel
Do you serve Mirabel?
Yes, we work throughout Mirabel, from the Domaine-Vert area to the residential sectors. The assessment and travel are free.
How long does it take in Mirabel?
The assessment is done quickly on site, then your sealed unit is custom-made within 24 to 72 hours.
Do you replace thermos units in houses?
Yes, we cut custom glass to the exact dimensions of your windows and install it in the existing frame.
I live on a rural road in Sainte-Scholastique. Will you come out?
Yes. The assessment and travel are free anywhere in Mirabel, including rural roads. Give us the exact civic address and a landmark visible from the road so we can find you easily.
Does strong wind on my open lot wear out sealed units faster?
Exposure to wind and sun with no shelter increases the temperature swings the seal goes through, which can speed up its aging. When replacing, triple glazing with argon and Low-E improves comfort in the most exposed rooms.
