Fog between the panes means the seal on your sealed unit has failed. In Laval, the windows of bungalows and single-family homes built in the second half of the 20th century are often reaching the end of their life.
Good news: replacing the whole window is rarely necessary. We replace only the faulty sealed unit within the existing frame, with custom glass.
Custom glass for non-standard dimensions, free diagnosis, transparent pricing from $150.
Local context
Laval: a big territory with windows from every era
Laval is made up of former villages that became neighbourhoods, each with its own housing. Pont-Viau and Laval-des-Rapides have many duplexes and apartment buildings; Chomedey, Vimont and Duvernay have plenty of bungalows and split-levels; Sainte-Dorothée and Fabreville lean toward newer homes. Around Montmorency metro and Centropolis, condo towers have joined the mix. The result: sliders, casements, bay windows and patio doors in every size.
Along the Rivière des Prairies and the Rivière des Mille Îles, waterfront homes face more humidity and wind, which wears out seals. In bungalows, the big living-room window and the back patio door are usually where people notice fog first. In newer towers, large panels call for tempered glass. We'll help you choose double or triple glazing, argon and Low-E based on which way each window faces.
With Highways 13, 15, 25 and 440, we can reach every district, from Auteuil to Saint-François, and travel is free anywhere on the island. At a house, the driveway makes parking simple; in a condo, book the elevator and let the board know. Our suggestion: if several windows are foggy, make a list by room with rough dimensions. It helps us prepare the visit.
